By shaking hands with Kim Tae-ri, the author of "Ghost" banished the nightmare of "Mt. Jirisan'

Kim Eun-hee's 'Ghost' drama, which aired on Friday-Saturday, recorded double-digit viewership ratings in just two episodes.

Nielsen Korea reported that the 4th episode, which aired on the 1st, recorded 10% nationwide viewership, a 1% decrease from the 11% recorded in the third episode. This is the same as the 10% recorded in episode 2, which aired last Saturday. The drama's success at the box office is attributed to its writer and director, Kim Eun-hee.

'Ghost' broke through the 10% mark in the second episode and ranked first among mini-series aired during June 19-25, with 1,242,132 viewers of all ages. It is the only weekly mini-series to surpass 1.2 million viewers. The series also demonstrated potential on the OTT platform, ranking first in Disney+'s Korean TV show category and receiving the most selection from new paid subscribers. It also ranked first in Kinolights, an OTT integrated search and content recommendation platform.

Ghost is leading the weekend drama competition, surpassing other dramas like 'King the Land' and 'Take Care of This Student'. 'Demon' quickly surpassed these dramas, surpassing 'King the Land', 'Take Care of This Student', 'Numbers: Observers in the Building Forest', and 'Missy Durian'. 'Goblin' also secured the top spot, with 'King the Land' recording 9.672%, 'Numbers' 3.2%, and 'Assisi Durian' recording 4%. This impressive performance has made 'Goblin' the 'King the Land' and secured its place in the competition.

Kim Eun-hee, the writer behind 'Ghost', faced disappointment with her previous TV drama 'Jirisan', which failed at the box office. The drama, which starred Jeon Ji-hyun and Ju Ji-hoon, was a hit with viewers but struggled with ratings and topicality. Consequently, she shifted her focus to 'Ghost', which aimed to combat the summer heat.

'Goblin', a Korean-style occult drama, featured subjects related to folklore, legends, and tales. The drama arouses interest with a scary story and provides viewers with a theme consciousness. Despite the initial success, 'Ghost' remains a unique and captivating work for fans of the genre.

Kim Eun-hee collaborated with Kim Tae-ri and Oh Jeong-se to create a supernatural film. Kim Tae-ri's ghostly acting and Oh Jung-se's ghost-seeing performance added to the immersion, while Kim Tae-ri's clear face and sincerity evoked a response.

The story, reminiscent of the box office failure of 'Jirisan', evoked tension and chills, reviving the Korean occult syndrome.
